Verify Keycard Shell authenticity

Before using your Keycard Shell, verify its authenticity to ensure it has not been tampered with.

Keycard Shell verification is optional, but we strongly advise verifying your device before using it. This is a security measure designed to protect you from using a fake or compromised device.

In addition to your Keycard and Keycard Shell, you need a computer or mobile device to access the verification page ↗ to complete the verification process.

    Insert your Keycard into Keycard Shell to power it on.

    Enter your Keycard PIN.
  3. 3
    Select Settings > Shell > Verify.
  4. 4
    Press OK to confirm the text on the screen.
  5. 5
    Press OK again to open the camera on your Keycard Shell.

    On your computer or mobile device, open the verification page at https://shell.keycard.tech/verify ↗.

    Scan the QR code on the web page with the camera on your Keycard Shell.
  3. 3
    Select Continue on the web page.
  4. 4
    Select Enable camera to open the camera on your computer or mobile device.
  5. 5
    Scan the QR code on your Keycard Shell with the camera on your computer or mobile device.
caution
If your Keycard Shell is not authentic, stop using it and contact the Keycard team on Discord ↗.
