#Unblock your Keycard

To prevent unauthorized access, your Keycard blocks itself after entering a wrong PIN three times. To keep using your Keycard, you must unblock it using your Keycard PUK.

#What to expect

• To unblock your Keycard, you must use your Keycard PUK.
• Once unblocked, your Keycard is ready for use, just like before it was blocked.
• You can use any Keycard Shell device to unblock a Keycard.

#Unblock your Keycard

To unblock your Keycard, first set a new PIN, then enter your PUK.

   Insert the Keycard into your Keycard Shell with the chip facing up and push it in all the way. Your Keycard Shell powers on automatically.

   Select Unblock card with PUK.

   Press OK.

   Enter a new Keycard PIN and press OK.

   Enter the new PIN again and press OK to confirm.

   Press OK to continue.

   Enter the PUK and press OK.

#If you can't unblock your Keycard

If you haven't set a PUK, you can't unblock your Keycard. You can still access your wallet funds as long as you have your wallet recovery phrase. You can factory reset the Keycard and remove all data, then [restore your wallet](./set-up-your-keycard-with-keycard-shell.mdx#method-2-import-your-key-pair-with-a-recovery phrase) using the recovery phrase. After the reset and restore, your Keycard works the same as before.

If you lose your recovery phrase, there is no way to regain access to your wallet funds.
